We closed escrow on a home in Santa Monica and wanted to let you know what a pleasure it was to work with John Skinner. John was diligent, thoughtful and always had our best interest at heart. I still call on John to take care of some issues that occur after such transactions and he is happy help where ever he can. Both my wife and I work in commercial real estate (I am an Industrial Broker with Grubb & Ellis and my wife is an Asset Manager), so we understand the type of service an agent should provide and the value of being well represented. John and his staff met our needs every step of the way. Our escrow was complicated by a volatile tenant and a divorced ownership. John handled many difficult issues and was able to get the escrow closed and help get the tenant out of the home early. John’s thoroughness and commitment to his clients is impressive and comforting. Recently, I had the experience of working with your agent, John Skinner. I am writing to let you know what a pleasure it was to work with John. Our sale was a probate sale. Although the court approval was not required, all of the probate “formalities” still had to be followed. John represented the buyer, and with no agent on our side, the burden fell upon John to ensure the process proceeded properly. In addition, both the buyer and seller were clients who required a fair amount of hand-holding. Throughout the entire process John remained professional and polite. He understood my client’s particular concerns and needs. He was able to keep both my client and his client happy. (And if my client was happy, I was happy.) Escrow closed on time, John’s client was able to move in on the day he wanted to, and my client had the property sold without any undue pressure or complications.
